Best on Desktop

The mobile experience is still a work in progress. For the full experience, we strongly recommend using PicPut on a desktop browser.

What is PicPut?

PicPut lets you encode information inside ordinary images using a special system called ScribbleCrypt. Send encoded messages to friends, store private notes in photos, or explore the art of hidden data — all from your browser.

What is ScribbleCrypt?

ScribbleCrypt is a steganographic encoding system that embeds data into the color channels of image pixels. By writing to individual bits of red, green, and blue values, your message is woven directly into the image data.

How to Encode Data into an Image

  1. Click the Encoding tab
  2. Type or paste your text — or switch to File mode and attach a file
  3. Click Encode

If the data doesn't fit, click Randomize to auto-fit the filter. If it still doesn't fit, try a larger image or enable Compress.
